What is a Gas Package Unit
Gas package units are comprised of a straight air conditioning component and a furnace component all in one large outdoor system. These units provide heat for your home by using either propane or natural gas. As with heat pump applications, the straight air conditioning component uses refrigerant R22 or R410-A to provide cool air for your home. As with all gas burning systems, carbon monoxide is a by-product produced when using a gas package unit. Please make sure to have at least one carbon monoxide detector in your home. All Comfort Heating and Cooling can assist in determining the locations for your carbon monoxide detectors and will provide and install them for you.
