Heating and Air Conditioning Systems
To help you identify what type of heating and air conditioner system you have in your home, we have listed a few simple identifiers below. If your system is not listed, please visit gas heating systems.

Heat Pumps
Air source heat pumps are the most commonly used heating and air conditioning systems in South Eastern NC. Heat pump systems are designed to maintain their highest efficiency levels and proper working capabilities in milder climates.

Ductless Mini Splits
Mini split units are among the most efficient heating and air conditioning systems on the market today. Ductless mini split systems provide space saving designs; no need to lose the use of a window as mini split air handlers mount directly onto a wall or in the ceiling of your home, and the outdoor condensing units are small in size.

Geothermal
Ground source heat pumps (GSHP) can be found throughout Wilmington and surrounding areas in South Eastern NC. These systems are similar to air source heat pumps; yet, instead of using air to condense or evaporate the refrigerant at the condensing section, Geothermal systems use water or a water/glycol solution.
